Jon Shepherd: is an analytics/sales executive advisor to HT. Prior to his current role at Eagle Eye Analytics, Jon was VP/GM at Netezza where he ran the worldwide sales organization in charge of helping companies deploy advanced analytics and geospatial software solutions. Jon has previous executive management roles at Netezza, Silknet/Kana, CODA, and was Founder of Direct Link Flowers and Courthouse Data. He was named one of the Top 10 Entrepreneurs under 35 in Georgia. Jon is a frequent speaker at software and government industry events discussing the value of big data, location data, analytics and fact based decision making.
Jon graduated from Vanderbilt University with degrees in Economics and Psychology and played varsity tennis. Jon, wife Jan, and family live in Jacksonville Beach, Florida.
Jon follows a deep personal sense of direction, and challenges existing methods. He can suggest new ways of doing things for increased effectiveness. He sees the big picture and communicate it to others.
Jon does his homework and has a high degree of curiosity about many areas. He enjoys learning for learning’s sake, and has a high degree of competence with the things he does.
Jon meets new people in a reserved, polite, and quiet way. He prefers a logical approach to transactions, and remains cool, calm, and collected through most business situations.
