More about Yiannis

Yiannis is a Co-Founder of Humantelligence and is focused on the international expansion of the company. He has worked in various leadership positions for more than 20 years. Yiannis became committed and passionate about helping people and organizations reach their highest potential after having spend eight years working in the retail function of Greece’s largest private bank, Alpha Bank.

Earlier in his career, Yiannis entered the world of instructional design and organizational performance when he worked closely with Northwestern University (USA) and the National Institute of Information Technology (India). He led large-scale organizational and performance development programs for large enterprise organizations in Europe. This gave him extensive experience and a deep understanding of how organizations evolve; how they learn and develop their people; and how to manage through the transformation of individual and organizational habits.

Yiannis worked for the Athens 2004 Olympic Games as the liaison between event sponsors and the global media. The Olympic Games is a unique mix of business and sport where strong leadership, effective team work, fast decision making, and near-perfect execution are required to meet the challenge. Working for the Olympic Games gave Yiannis a privileged understanding of what it takes to perform at a world-class level while 3.9 billion people are watching.

With his experience from the Olympic Games, Yiannis was assigned to lead the global operations of Junior Chamber International (JCI) - a youth leadership organization in 150 countries and over 5,000 local communities. At JCI he founded the JCI European Media and Communications Academy and chaired many international events. After JCI, Yiannis led the transformation of NIKE‘s retailer in Eastern Europe, and then went on to lead the turnaround of Alexandrion Group, the industry leader in beverage production and distribution in Romania.

Yiannis continues to serve as a member of the JCI World Advisory Organization and is often invited to share his views in the media and international conferences, most recently at TEDx and TED Talks in Abu Dhabi and Bucharest.

Yiannis received a BS in Information Technology from Xinis College (Athens), and an MBA from Imperial College Business School (London). He is also a graduate of the JCI European Academy and JCI World Academy. Yiannis was awarded the Banking Award of Distinction (Alpha Credit Bank) for his study and publication, "New Technologies - The Future Banking Landscape." He served as lead adviser to the Greek Minister of Education and designed the National Initiative for Youth Entrepreneurship. Yiannis currently resides in Athens, Greece and besides his lifelong interest in people and organizations, he pursues his passions for photography and music.
