Why did I join Humantelligence?

Two reasons. Firstly the commercial: Having headed teams of well over a hundred people with members in up to 44 countries at any one time, I know that the most difficult challenge of any executive is the people. The bigger the team the more time is spent on people issues and less on the business. Large teams are motivated or disengaged by culture. A motivated engaged team succeeds and a disengaged one fails.

Like most managers of people my results were mixed- I hired and motivated some great people with great results. Unfortunately some also bombed. I quickly realised that despite many qualifications and claims of expertise in organisations there was very little in the way of help and advice that truly worked. I never felt like we really understood our people problems, and our solutions felt generic without much visibility on the linkage between the problem and the outcome.

Historically, as tools were not available to manage culture everyone was in the same boat, but Humantelligence is able to completely change the paradigm.and raise performance and standards. The results are profound, and the commercial offering compelling, especially when they are tailored to specialties such as Medicine, Elite Sports and Aviation, which are my particular areas of interest. If you are on the operating table, flying in a plane or following your sports team passionately you will want them to be performing at their best.

Secondly, I am excited by the breadth of application of the product. We can enhance people’s relationships – increase their self awareness, how they fit with another person and how they fit into a team to help them perform better and enjoy the experience much more. We can point people towards a happier place. We all owe that to ourselves. Humantelligence really does bring highly usable results without the need for a highly qualified and expensive “expert”. We all have the ability to understand ourselves and the relationships around us much better than we currently do.
